  • Is it Factual that Men File More Insurance Claims than Women

Posted by riqavfee on February 15, 2010

We all know of the fact that there is a confrontation involving the sexes on which ones are superior drivers, men or women drivers?
However, even though the appeal seems to be louder from the masculine counterparts, data has a different story to tell.

The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration's investigation carried out in '04 brings to light that men being mixed up in more than 25,000 critical mishaps, 432,000 more injury smash ups and more than 1,000,000 instances resulting in damaged goods, resulting total 1,828,000 more insurance claims submitted by men in '04 alone.

This trend, it seems, continues to stay the same even at this time.

    Dad's New Car

Posted by riqavfee on February 12, 2010

My dad just turned in his Ford Explorer and is on the lookout to rent something else. He previously articulated that this drive was a little taxing on his posterior and that it had more than necessary engine capacity for Florida… So he's on the lookout for a 4 cylinder or a diminutive 6, and it must be SUV since he does kayaking, etc… + this is the only capacious vehicle in the household, I used his SUV quite a few times to move things from one place to another as I own a Honda Accord and my spouse a Beetle.

In any case, the budget; it's without doubt below US $28k after taxes & fees.

He did like the GMC Acadia, but it's way too inefficient when it comes to muscle, the Turbo edition has admirable power and handles well, but for that much he opines he can get something else.

He received a great deal at Volkswagen for a Jetta SportWagen 2.5L 5 cylinders… but he is concerned with dependability because our Audi A6 and VW Beetle were constantly breaking down. I told him that with a 36-month contract he shouldn't have any problems (as opposed to driving the Jeep Wrangler like he had for around 6 years).

Then there is the contemporary Subaru Outback, a pretty darn good vehicle, one could feel superiority all over if you are to explore this vehicle… He even said that he would have purchased the SUV already if not for the overly obnoxious salesperson… I feel inculing taxes it gets to $28k or so, but he seems to enjoy the SUV very much.

He used the Toyota Highlander (4 cylinders) and opined that it feels quite badly… I didn't get to check that one, although he seems to be assured that his next SUV will not be a Toyota.

If you are aware of any nice options that he could think about without having to shell out an excessive sum of money, your propositions are very welcome.
